 | Roman has been teaching in schools for over 2 years now and tutoring English online since 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manchester and a master’s from the London Metropolitan University. He currently teaches grades 1, 2 and 3. You might see him running outdoors or practising Brazilian Jiu-jitsu when he isn’t teaching. |
 | Chris is a seasoned educator with over a decade of experience. He excelled early, scoring in the 99th percentile on the PSAT/SAT—with a perfect verbal score—and was a National Merit Scholarship finalist, earning a scholarship to the College of William & Mary. Chris studied abroad at St. Petersburg State University, earned a B.A. in Linguistics (with a Russian minor), and later obtained an M.A. from the University of New Mexico, where he also taught Spanish and Russian. In 2015, he began teaching advanced English in South Korea, and in 2017 he coordinated summer language camps in China. Additionally, Chris has taught online to high school and university students internationally. Since fall 2023, he has been an English Language and Literature instructor at KAU School, engaging students from 4th to 9th grade. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, writing, learning new languages (including Kazakh), and playing the guitar. |
 | Amanda Lopez-Fasanella was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She received her B.A. in anthropology from Franklin & Marshall College located in Pennsylvania. Then continued to peruse her M.A. in art history & archaeology from John Cabot University. During her studies in Rome, Italy she took an opportunity to teach in Ibiza, Spain. Since then, Amanda’s love for education keeps her in the classroom, and teaching has become her natural occupation. Notable projects: 2015: Archaeological excavations with Harvard University and Tel Aviv University in Israel. 2022 National Gallery of Art, Raphael: Universal Artist exhibition and conference in London, United Kingdom. |
 | Vernon Lehmann is an experienced educator with a BS from the University of Cincinnati and an MA from Cincinnati Christian University. Since his first visit to Almaty in 2007, he has contributed to various educational projects including teaching at Kazakhstan International School, managing the construction of a pre-school for the Edelwiess housing community, and overseeing initiatives at The Nazarbaiev Educational Foundation. His international teaching and teacher training experience spans North America, Europe, and Africa. In his free time, Vernon enjoys knitting, baseball, and cycling. |
 | Paul Anthony Atkin is a dedicated English teacher based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with a strong foundation in language education and diverse professional experience. Holding both CELTA and International House certifications, he teaches a wide range of learners—from young children to adults—with an engaging and adaptive approach. Beyond the classroom, his background includes leadership roles in summer camps and hands-on work in various industries, highlighting his versatility and commitment to excellence in education. His proficiency in English, German, and Russian further enriches his ability to connect with students from different cultural backgrounds. |
